Slack Integration and App

Our Slack integration not only provides the ability to track your Slack accounts for easier offboarding and onboarding, but also provides a Slack App that lets you initiate onboarding and offboarding directly in Slack itself.

Start Onboarding Faster

Start the onboarding process with a single command.

Once run, the command creates pending accounts to hold the details for the new accounts you'll be creating for your teammates.

By sharing the public link, new or existing users can securely provide account details (usernames, first and last, phone numbers, emails) without having to create a RoleUp account.

When you're done, you can create all the accounts for most integrations directly in RoleUp.

Offboarding in a Click

When a someone leaves a team or just doesn't need access anymore, a single command will present options for offboarding.

Most integrations support removing accounts directly from Slack, and those that don't provide links to the relevant admin pages.

Integration Capabilities

The Slack integration uses OAuth to authenticate and once connected has both read-only and read-write options. It also adds Slack App to your workspace, as detailed above.

This integration is capable of listing all accounts, as well as all of your channels and groups. RoleUp can add and remove Slack accounts from channels and groups, but cannot add or remove accounts entirely from Slack.

  • List all accounts

  • Cannot add or remove accounts

  • List channels and groups

  • Add and remove accounts
